Decision on Brightenber Hill wind turbines delayed
8:00am Sunday 22nd September 2013 in News
A long-awaited decision on whether wind turbines can be built near Gargrave is now unlikely until the end of October.
The Planning Inspectorate had been expected to announce its decision on Energiekontor’s refused plans for three 100 metre high turbines at Brightenber Hill towards the end of this month.
But following fresh submissions by the applicant, other interested parties have been given until next Thursday, September 26, to respond, with a decision expected towards the end of October or into November.
A two-day public appeal hearing was held in May after Craven District Council refused permission for the turbines.
