8:00am Friday 20th September 2013 in News
After enjoying its most successful August ever, the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam railway staged its annual 1940s Weekend, which attracted a good number of re-enactors and travelling public.
Saturday’s highlight was the lunchtime and teatime flypast by a World War Two American Stinson L-5 Sentinel spotter plane in D-Day markings.
The railway’s next big event will be its 125th anniversary celebrations over the weekend of October 5 and 6.
