Open garden events at The Grange, Carleton, raise £7,000 for charity
8:00am Monday 23rd September 2013 in News
A series of open days and private visits at the gardens of The Grange, Carleton, have raised £7,415 for charity.
Visitors included German trippers on a tour of English gardens, a coach trip from near Carlisle and another from Northumberland.
Owner Margaret Wooler said: “Visitors expressed much appreciation for the time they spent looking round the garden, enhanced this year by much better weather.
“In total over 900 people visited and the money raised has again been shared by the National Gardens Scheme and Manorlands hospice.
“Once again I am indebted to all the people who give up their time to help, without which the open days would not be possible.”
