Parkinson's UK members welcome Vintage Motorcyclists Rally bikers

Members of the Skipton branch of Parkinson’s UK welcomed bikers who were taking part in the Vintage Motorcyclists Rally which passed through the town.
The bikers, who were riding from John O’Groats to Land’s End, were led by Bob Fisher who was making his sixth end-to-end run.
He has already raised £92,000 for charity and is hoping the latest effort will top £100,000, with this year’s proceeds going towards funding a Parkinson’s nurse in Gloucester.
His cause struck a chord with Skipton members as they too are hoping to get a specialist nurse.
On their stop-off in the town, the bikers shared their stories and spoke to people about their diverse machines. They were all treated to bacon sandwiches and cakes at Holy Trinity Church.
“It was pleasing to see that they made time to stop in Skipton during their travels,” said a spokesman for the Skipton branch.
