Barnoldswick Santa run will raise funds for Bosom Friends
8:00am Wednesday 16th October 2013 in News
Barnoldswick will be invaded by red-suited men, women and children in December when a local cancer support group stages a 5K Santa charity run.
The event, a fundraiser for Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends, has already generated a lot of interest and is sure to bring a touch of seasonal cheer, as all the runners will be given Santa suits to add to the atmosphere.
It will take place on Sunday, December 8, and there is an entry fee of £10 for adults and £5 for children aged five to 16.
Anyone who wants to take part must register beforehand as there are only 300 places available.
Booklets advertising the run and containing the official application form are available from the Bosom Friends shop, Barnoldswick Library, Silhouette beauty salon, Bonjour card shop, West Craven Sports Centre and Stanley House vets.
“We are hoping that some runners will also take the opportunity to get family and friends to sponsor them on the run so we raise lots of money for this worthwhile local charity,” said organiser Sharon Hurst.
