Neighbourhood plan considered for Bradley
8:00am Sunday 20th October 2013 in News
A neighbourhood plan – setting out policies on the development and use of land – could be created for Bradley.
The village’s parish council is pursuing the initiative following a well-attended public meeting.
An application for “neighbourhood area” designation has now been submitted to Craven District Council.
Once complete, the plan would become part of the statutory framework against which planning applications are judged.
It would also show how the level of growth identified in the district’s Local Plan would be met or exceeded.
People who live or work in the parish are invited to comment on the application, which can be viewed at cravendc.gov.uk/article/3110/Neighbourhood-Planning.
“This is not a consultation on the plan itself – which has yet to be prepared by the parish council – but an opportunity to comment on the proposed area,” said a Craven Council spokesman.
Comments can be e-mailed to email@example.com or posted to 1 Belle Vue Square, Skipton, BD23 1FJ. The closing date is November 18.
