Assistant Chief Constable Sue Cross retires from North Yorkshire Police

A police officer whose career included overseeing crime investigation in Craven, Harrogate and Richmond has retired.
Sue Cross, latterly assistant chief constable for North Yorkshire, has hung up her hat for the last time after a 30-year police career.
The Bradfordian said: “I have so many memories of my police service and cannot believe that 30 years have passed. I can clearly remember my first arrest as a young constable in Holbeck, Leeds – two men for taking a car, or TWOC as it’s more commonly known.
“I am very proud to have been part of one of the most high-performing police services in the country and leave in the knowledge that North Yorkshire Police is in very good hands under the leadership of Chief Constable Dave Jones and his team.”
