MEP visits Airedale Hospital to see telemedicine service

MEP Rebecca Taylor visited Airedale Hospital to see its telemedicine services.
She met nursing staff in the telehealth hub, from where 24-hour, seven-days-a-week support is offered to patients in their own homes via a video link.
“The potential of telehealth to revolutionise healthcare delivery has been talked about for some years – in particular in relation to supporting the health of an ageing population – but not always put into action,” said Ms Taylor. “It was great to see how Airedale is successfully using telehealth technology.”
Bridget Fletcher, chief executive of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We were delighted to have the opportunity to show Rebecca our work.”
