New and expectant mums are being asked whether they would recommend Airedale Hospital’s maternity services to their friends and family.
The Friends and Family Test (FFT), introduced in hospitals nationwide earlier this year, has been extended to maternity services.
Mums will be given a Friends and Family questionnaire at various stages of their maternity care, before and after their child is born.
Karen Dunwoodie, patient experience lead at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Feedback from the Friends and Family Test is another way of gathering information which helps us to identify and tackle concerns at an early stage and improve our services. So far the feedback that we have received from this test on other wards and departments has been very positive.”
Results from the anonymous tests are published monthly on the NHS Choices website allowing patients to compare NHS organisations and choose where to get the best care.
