A rock night in memory of a Sutton woman who died of heart failure has raised more than £3,000.
May Marshall’s daughter Nicola Dobbie organised the Roktober event last Saturday for the British Heart Foundation.
The sell-out night of rock music, dancing and fun at the Copper Beech Club in Baildon featured a performance by local band Out Of Nowhere and attracted almost 170 people.
Nicola said: “I’m immensely happy with how it went. The band was fantastic. It was important to me because of my mum.”
May, 56, died in June 2012 while Nicola was on holiday, and she was discovered by her daughter when she went to visit on her return.
