Quick thinking teenagers from Skipton Girls’ High School will put their wits to the test in the Institute of Ideas Debating Matters Competition.
They will be up against seven other schools in the qualifying round at the Rose Bowl, Leeds Metropolitan University on Tuesday and the top two schools will through to the regional finals at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in March.
Known as the toughest debating competition in the UK, participants have to prove they can answer the tough questions as well as give a brilliant speech.
