Langcliffe’s Christmas celebrations kick off with a festive coffee morning in the Institute on Saturday.
It will run from 10am to noon and, apart from refreshments, there will be cake, confectionery, craft and tombola stalls to raise funds for the Institute.
There will also be other charity stalls.
And the festivities continue on Sunday with the switching on of the Christmas lights at 6pm near the fountain.
It is hoped that Father Christmas and his elves will be able to attend.
There will be mulled wine and mince pies, carols around the tree and soup and sausage rolls in the Institute.
Villagers are asked to bring a lantern and make a bauble to decorate the tree.
