Author Diane Allen will be at Ingleton Library as part of the town’s Christmas late night shopping festivities.
Diane, who is from Long Preston, will talk about her latest bestseller, For A Mother’s Sins, tonight from 5pm.
She will also be signing copies of her book.
Set during the building of the Ribblehead Viaduct on the Settle Carlisle line, the novel centres on the stories of three local women - widow Molly, God-fearing Molly Pratt, and Helen Parker, downtrodden by her husband and seeking a better life. When tragedy strikes, the lives of the three women are bound together and each is forced to confront the secrets and calamities that threaten to tear their families apart.
Admission to the event is free, with seasonal refreshments available.
