Shoppers at Barnoldswick’s Co-operative store have been delving in their pockets to help those in need.
They have been helping local people in need by buying an extra item for the Community Solutions Food Bank.
“They have turned what could be a bad news story into a positive one,” said food bank manager Mark Hirst.
“I’m constantly amazed and encouraged by the generosity of local people. Together we’re making a lasting impact on local need.”
The food bank offers a “hand up, not a hand out” to get people out of their immediate crisis and toward economic stability.
The Co-op will continue to act as a donation point, along with most of the West Craven churches and Gisburn Road Children’s Centre.
