A van driver caught using his mobile phone while driving was ordered to pay £270 by Skipton magistrates on Friday.
Andrew Dickin, 48, was seen talking on his phone while driving along Craven Street, Skipton, on September 24. Dickin, of Ghyll Meadows, Barnoldswick, pleaded guilty by letter. He was fined £165, had his licence endorsed with three penalty points, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim’s surcharge of £20.
