The Skipton base of an international manufacturing company is set to benefit from an acquisition by its American subsidiary.
Guyson International Ltd, on Snaygill Industrial Estate, believes the buying of Automated Blasting Systems by The Guyson Corporation could bring benefits to Skipton.
Paul Bilbie, Skipton’s manufacturing director, said: “Potentially, this acquisition could create further jobs for the Skipton site in the future.
“Guyson has been manufacturing on Snaygill Industrial Estate for 34 years,” he said.
Guyson, a privately owned family company with a world-wide reputation for the design and finishing of blast finishing, spray wash and ultrasonic cleaning equipment, was recently awarded a BSI certification for health and safety.
James Thompson, chairman and managing director of Guyson International, said the acquisition in the company’s 75th year further supported its growth strategy.
“The integration of the ABS product line into the Guyson manufacturing portfolio will enable potential for creation of new jobs across all our sites,” he added.
