Police officers and paramedics dashed to Settle Primary School – to give the children an insight into what they do.
The officers were in school as part of the pupils’ People Who Help Us topic.
Paramedic Emma Carr and Police Community Support Officer Jayne Grace spent time with the reception and nursery children, showing them equipment and uniforms and talking about their jobs. They showed the youngsters how to apply bandages and held a discussion on road safety.
Reception teacher Amy Greenwood said: “The children enjoyed the visit. They were allowed to try on uniforms and loved having a go at bandaging each other.
“I would like to thank Emma and Jayne for coming in to school.”
