Pupils have been “bagging” clothes, bedding and soft toys and earning income for school projects at Gargrave Primary School.
They have been taking part in the Bags2School project in which they receive a percentage of the value of the goods they collect.
Sharon Aldous, school administrator, said: “This is the second collection we’ve had this year. Last time we received £80 but that was only half of what we’ve managed to collect this time.”
Bags2School is a national textile recycling scheme.
