Rendezvous Hotel offers a Christmas Day treat

Craven Herald: Malcolm Weaving Malcolm Weaving

A hotel boss is asking readers of the Craven Herald to nominate anyone they know who will be spending the festive season on their own.

Malcolm Weaving, of the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton, is offering a Christmas Day treat to people – particularly the elderly and carers – who deserve to be wined and dined for free.

They will be given the opportunity to have a slap-up meal in the company of about 200 others.

They will meet Father Christmas, who will arrive by barge (or quad bike if the canal is frozen), bringing a present for each of the guests. There will also be carols and children’s games.

Station Taxis will provide free transport to and from the hotel on the day.

Nominations can be made by calling the hotel on (01756) 700100, by post to Lindsay Mueller, Rendezvous Hotel, Keighley Road, Skipton, BD23 2TA, or by e-mailing
