Glusburn Primary School’skey stage one pupils are planting daffodil bulbs and raising cash for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The school has been provided with kits including bulbs, pots and plant sticks and participating pupils will be asked to donate £2.
“The Mini Pots of Care is a fun and creative way for children to learn about science, nature, being caring and the work of charities,” said headteacher Richard Hunt.
“The children will be advised on how to grow and care for their daffodil.”
