Six decades of looking after the eyesight of Craven residents was celebrated at a special anniversary party.

Clifford Benjamin, optometrists and contact lens practitioners, was set up in 1953 and, 60 years on, still prides itself on providing the highest standards of clinical and customer care. The firm, now based on Newmarket Street, Skipton, marked its milestone anniversary with a party at the Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold.

Guests included Mr Benjamin’s widow, Elsie, and sons Phillip and David who have both been involved with the company.
