An Embsay man who sold cars on eBay with photocopied and doctored MOT certificates has been sent to crown court for sentencing.
Russell Quinn-Lomax, 46, admitted at Skipton Magistrates' Court on Friday six charges of fraud in connection with the selling of cars from his home in Embsay. The charges, all between December 2012 and May 2013, included making false MOT certificates and altering mileometers on cars with the intention of committing fraud or a financial gain for himself.
The court was told it had not been a particularly sophisticated operation, but there had been a degree of planning involving a total of £10,000.
Quinn-Lomax, of Dalacres Crescent, who has no previous convictions, co-operated with police and pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, He was sent to Bradford Crown Court for sentencing on January 10.
