Motorist caught doing 76mph on A59 at Beamsley

Nicholas Doyle, 29, caught in a police speed trap doing 76mph in the 50mph limit, had been attempting to get the details of a car that had overtaken him, causing him to brake, the court heard.
Doyle, who admitted speeding on June 24 by letter, believed the other driver had been speeding.
Doyle, of The Green, Sharleston Common, Wakefield, was in the area for a celebration meal and had a clean licence.
He was fined £290 and had his licence endorsed with six penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £29.
