Latest figures reveal that 31 people were killed on North Yorkshire roads in 2012, the lowest figure since modern county records began in 1990.

Craven area committee was told that serious injury accidents increased from 412 in 2011 to 442 in 2012. The total was still lower than in any of the years prior to 2011.
