A 62-year-old motorcyclist is being treated in hospital after being seriously hurt in a crash near Embsay on Tuesday morning.
The man, who was from Skipton, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where he is said to be in a stable condition.
His black Yamaha YBR 125 motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the collision, which occurred at 11.15am on the Embsay to Barden road.
Traffic Constable Charlie Ferguson, of the Roads Policing Group, said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw the motorbike prior to the incident, I ask you to contact the police straight away as you may have vital information that could help my inquiry.”
