Skipton office of Bluefin Insurance has nominated Yorkshire Air Ambulance as its chosen charity as part of the company’s Think Giving.
The initiative entitled all 42 UK Bluefin branches to nominate a charity and, as a result, £1,500 was earmarked for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
But, not content with that, local staff also decided to donate 50 per cent of the proceeds (£750) from its client golf day to the charity.
Branch director Simon George said: “The Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides an essential life-saving service to the people of Yorkshire. In 2012 they were even called to a client building site where they most likely saved the life of a worker who had been badly injured.
“I am delighted to be able to offer this donation on behalf of all staff at the Skipton office in recognition of their fantastic work and commitment to those in Yorkshire who require immediate medical care.”
Helen Gowans, from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, added: “We are very grateful for this donation as part of their Think Giving campaign.”
