Bag packing carried out by children at Morrisons in Skipton has raised £344 for six local charities.
Students from Greatwood and Water Street Primary School spent five hours packing shopping bags at the Broughton Road store.
“The children had lovely manners and all the customers were appreciative of their help,” said Catherine Marshall, a year four teacher at Greatwood School.
The money raised is part of ITV’s Text Santa appeal and Morrisons is the appeal partner for 2013.
Lynn McEnnerney, community champion for Morrisons, said the money raised in Skipton would benefit six local charities - Age UK, Barnardo’s, BeatBullying, British Heart Foundation, CLIC Sargent and Help the Hospices.
Mrs McEnnerney said: “We would welcome them back again.”
