Libraries across Craven will be holding ancestry internet taster sessions to celebrate Family History Week, which starts on Monday.

The fun informal sessions will provide advice for those about to embark on their family history and help people navigate their way round the two premier genealogy sites, Ancestry.com and Find My Past, both of which can be accessed free in all libraries in North Yorkshire.

Sessions will be held at Bentham Library on Monday from 10am to noon, Skipton on Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm, Settle on Wednesday from 10am to noon, Cross Hills on Thursday from 10am and noon, and Ingleton on Friday, again from 10am to noon.

Admission is £10, which includes a full quarterly library computer subscription worth £3, an e-booklet of family history websites and refreshments.
