Police are appealing for witnesses after a 62-year-old motorcyclist was badly hurt near Embsay.

The man, who was from Skipton, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries following the crash, which occurred on the Embsay to Barden road at 11.15am on Tuesday, December 17.

His black Yamaha YBR 125 motorcycle was the only vehicle involved.

Traffic Constable Charlie Ferguson, of the Roads Policing Group, said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw the motorbike prior to the incident, I ask you to contact the police straightaway as you may have vital information that could help my inquiry.”
