The Rose and Crown pub in pub is due to close on Monday for four weeks whilst it undergoes a refurbishment.
It will be renamed the Yorkshire Rose and will receive a joint investment of £200,000 by the new leaseholders Steven and Angela Gray in partnership with owners Punch Taverns.
As a result of the investment, six jobs will be created.
Licensee Steve, who started running the pub with his wife Angela in November, is excited about the refurbishment: “There will be major work conducted throughout the pub to create a more vibrant, fresher look whilst retaining a traditional pub feel.
“A new back bar will be fitted with a coffee station as well as creating a beer terrace to the car park. We will be extending our food and drink range with a new menu, including five cask ales and traditional pub classics with a local slant as well as a selection of cakes and cream teas.”
