Taking a break from pulling pints are Darren and Sue Robinson from the Robin Hood pub in Silsden.
The pub closed on Sunday for a £170,000 refurbishment and will reopen in three weeks. The aim is to improve the overall look of the pub while retaining its traditional feel and some original features.
Darren is the licensee of the Kirkgate pub, and has run it with his wife since last October.
The couple, who hold the lease for the pub, are making a joint investment in partnership with owners Punch Taverns.
Improvements will include building a new catering kitchen and extension to the beer terrace, while the stone flooring and open fires will be retained.
Mr Robinson said: “The plans look fantastic. We will be offering the community something different and a range of facilities to suit all.”
