Cyclists are sought for a cycling charity challenge in Skipton this weekend.

Local clinic and assessment centre Fit for Purpose is challenging people to see how far they can cycle in ten minutes in aid of cancer charity Bosom Friends.

Everyone - from beginners to professional cyclists - are invited to the Otley Street premises from 10am on Saturday to see how many miles they can clock up on an indoor bike. Everyone taking part will be entered into a draw to win vouchers to spend in the Fit for Purpose shop.

Founder Christine Buckley said: “The aim is to cycle as far as you can in ten minutes and the results will be posted on a leader board in the shop. The bike also measures power output, so people taking part can also compete in the power challenge.

“To take part, you just need to make a small donation on the day in aid of Barnoldswick-based Bosom Friends, which supports people affected by cancer in Craven, Pendle and Ribble Valley areas.”

To book a ten-minute slot, call into Fit for Purpose or ring 01756 792872. People can also register on the day of the event.
