Two new Neighbourhood Watch schemes have been set up in Skipton.
The ventures – in the Greatwood and Horseclose estate areas – will enable residents to work with police and local partners to build safe and friendly communities. PCSO Chris Upton said: “We have been delighted to work with Joan Case and Sarah Turner-Woodward in setting up two new schemes in Skipton South.
“It’s refreshing to see members of the community actively wanting to help make their community a safer place.”
The aim is to bring neighbours together to create strong, friendly, active communities where crime and anti-social behaviour are less likely to happen. Anyone who would like to set up a new scheme in their area should contact Skipton Safer Neighbourhood team on the non-emergency number 101.
