Users of the skate park in Skipton’s Aireville Park are being asked for their views on a major replacement project.

Craven District Council is looking at three potential designs for a new skate park, ranging from £50,000 to £100,000.

On Wednesday, February 5, it will hold a public meeting to find out what people think.

The designs may be adapted according to any suggestions and will be subject to raising funds.

Ward councillor Marcia Turner said: “It is important the council listens carefully to the advice of those who use the skate park so we build a new one that provides the best facilities for now and the future.”

Renewal of the skate park is a priority for the council and Friends of Aireville Park as part of a phased redevelopment of the whole park. The meeting will be at the council offices in Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, at 6pm.
