Skipton-based HML has been invited to become a third-party administrator member of the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML).

HML has already provided input into key industry debates, including presenting to the Financial Conduct Authority’s thematic review team, the CML Annual Mortgage Risk Conference and the CML Interest-Only Mortgages Conference.

HML – the UK and Ireland’s leading third-party mortgage administration company – has also played a significant part in discussions surrounding the mortgage market review and the need for the financial sector to strengthen its quality, culture and environment.

Andrew Jones, chief executive officer of HML, said: “I am delighted that the CML has invited us to join as a member.

“The third-party mortgage administration sector plays an important role in today’s financial industry and to be recognised by a prestigious industry association such as the CML is testament to this.

“This new membership will allow us to provide even more thorough leadership, as well as take part in further key debates on topics that are a priority for lenders both next year and beyond.”
