Airedale Male Voice Choir raised £4,582 for Manorlands Hospice at its charity concert at South Craven School, Cross Hills, last month.

More than 300 music lovers were treated to a wide-ranging programme featuring baritone Stefan Grant as soloist.

The 50-strong choir gives concerts throughout the year to help charities and, since its formation in 1997, has raised more than £120,000 – of which more than £50,000 has been donated to the Sue Ryder hospice.

John Smith, choir leader, said: “The choir is pleased to be able to help in this way and has a full programme for this year.”

Matthew Binns, community fundraiser at Manorlands, said: “We are extremely grateful to the Airedale Male Voice Choir for its support.”

The choir’s next concert is at Cowling Village Hall on Saturday, February 22, at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Mr Smith on 01535 653110.
