Residents from across Craven have the chance to raise concerns about crime and policing when the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire, Julia Mulligan, holds a surgery in Skipton.

It will take place from 5pm to 6.30pm on Monday at Craven District Council offices, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road.

It is part of a rolling programme across the county where residents can talk to her about her role, policing or community safety issues.

She said: “Craven in particular tends to ‘import’ crime from neighbouring urban areas and, as a Craven resident myself, I understand the impact these crimes can have.

“My principal aim is to drive down crime and anti-social behaviour yet further so that residents can be safe and feel safe, protected by the most responsive service in England.

“These surgeries are an important way of making sure that North Yorkshire Police is meeting the needs of the local community.”
