Rotary clubs are again joining forces to offer one-week leadership and personal development programmes for young people throughout August.

Skipton Craven and Skipton Rotary Clubs will fund up to three places on Rotary Youth Leadership Awards schemes based at the Hebden Hey Activity Centre, Hebden Bridge, and two places on sailing experiences with the Ocean Youth Trust at Whitehaven.

Ken Lee, president elect of Skipton Craven, said: “Our two clubs are delighted, once again, to support these courses. They have proved highly popular for several years, and offer real hands-on experiences for our young people to develop their talents. Their aim is to develop leadership, team building and communication skills and the experiences gained have often turned out to be life-changing.”

Applicants must be under 18 and be in full-time education or vocational training courses, or be apprenticed locally.

Further details can be found at skiptoncraven rotary.co.uk and the closing date for applications is Friday, March 7.
