Barnoldswick Town Council has appointed a new clerk.
Joanne Geldard, of Barnoldswick, was appointed in January and attended her first council meeting last Wednesday. Mrs Geldard, who worked at the Yorkshire Bank offices in Barnoldswick and Skipton for 23 years, will work 20 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
She is also a member of the board at Housing Pendle and is a governor at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Barnoldswick. She replaces Richard Nelson, who last year resigned on medical grounds.
