Hellifield Institute kicked off its 150th anniversary year at the weekend with a sell-out concert.
The show featured a variety of talented locals and raised more than £500, which will be shared between the institute and football club. Performers included a specially-rehearsed ladies singing troupe and a rock and Hellifield’s Total Wrex Band.
“We were totally delighted with the support for the event and our thanks go to all involved,” said institute chairman Bob Moore. “We look forward to a busy anniversary year with further events planned.”
