A service to celebrate the life of Dr John Farrer will be held at St James’s Church, Clapham, on Tuesday at 2pm.
Australian-born Dr John Anson Farrer died aged 92 on New Year’s Day, just a few weeks after the 60th anniversary of his arrival in the village to take over the Ingleborough family estate.
Over the years, he had been involved in all aspects of the village, including primary education, the church, Cave Rescue Organisation and the farming community.
