Love could be in the air as the Yorkshire Rose reopens tomorrow, Valentine’s Day.
The pub, formerly the Rose and Crown, has had £200,000 invested in it by the new leaseholders, Steven and Angela Gray and Punch Taverns, one of the UK’s leading pub companies.
The investment has created six new jobs.
The pub, which has been closed for four weeks, has been redecorated to give a fresher look and a new beer terrace has been created.
It also boasts an expanded drinks selection which includes five cask ales, a new coffee station and a new menu, including traditional pub classics.
Licensee Steve, who started running the pub with his wife Angela in November, said: “The pub looks fantastic and I can’t believe the transformation.
“The investment has given the pub the new lease of life it needed and will allow us to strengthen our food and drink offer while bringing the pub back to the community.”
Punch Taverns’ partnership development manager Ian Lester added: “We essentially want to reposition the Yorkshire Rose as Skipton’s leading pub for cask-marque accredited ales and local, home-made food.”
It reopens at 10.30am.
