Pop singer Amy Harper brought her anti-drugs tour to South Craven School at Cross Hills.

She performed her new single and gave a presentation about drug abuse to students.

Amy, 21, who goes under the professional name of Harper, also performed hits by the likes of Little Mix and Rhianna and answered questions from students.

Amy’s appearance was part of her tour of Yorkshire schools with the charity Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE).

“I go into schools teaching students about drug abuse,” said Amy, who is from Keighley and is a former Cougars cheerleader.

“I tell them not to let people influence them.

“I say, ‘you are the boss of your own life, don’t let anyone order you around’.”
