The Venue, Skipton, is holding a coffee morning in aid of the Children’s Heart Fund at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.
Staff were spurred into action after reading the story of two-year-old George Hall, who underwent life-saving surgery at the hospital last year.
The Skipton boy has suffered heart problems from birth and still needs a ventilator, oxygen, a catheter and tracheostomy equipment for his wellbeing.
“The people of Skipton are coming together to raise lots of money for this worthy cause,” said Leah Pompey from the Venue.
The coffee morning will take place on Friday, from 10.30am, and will include a raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses.
Children are welcome.
