The Craven Herald wedding fair has been hailed a huge success.

Held in beautiful sunshine at Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold, on Sunday, it attracted 300 visitors, including 95 registered brides.

Such was its popularity all 50 of the free goodie bags had been handed out within the first half hour.

Visitors were spoilt for choice as they made their way around the event, with 26 exhibitors, some of whom gave away free samples.

There was also music from singer/musician Jill Ryde in the conservatory and Sax Man Tim Clarke, in the main room.

Beautiful, gleaming wedding cars were parked at the hotel entrance and, with the good weather, even managed to take their roofs down.

Event organiser Gemma Aldersley said: “It was a fantastic day, the exhibition stands looked amazing with so much choice for brides and grooms to be and the sun was shining, which made the day feel even better.

“Thanks go to all involved in making this event such a success. The next event will be in the autumn and the date will be promoted within the Craven Herald soon.”
