Ingleton Library is hosting a series of creative workshops as part of an Arts Council England-funded project to put artists into libraries to work with communities.

The aim is to widen participation in artistic activity, raise the profile of libraries and involve children, families and older people in fun and inspiring inter-generational projects. And to kickstart the initiative an all-age mixed media session was led by Skipton-based artist Jaki Bogg.

Further workshops – delivered in partnership with NYMAZ and North Yorkshire County Council Youth Services – will take place from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesdays, March 5, 12 and 24 and April 2, culminating in a celebration event and exhibition on Saturday, April 5, from 10am to noon.

Also planned are music workshops with Rich Huxley, photography with Rebecca Heim, creative writing with Saviour Pirotta, digital art and video with Ross Anderson and mosaics with Gabi Naptali.
