Pupils from Aireville School, Skipton, visited Krakow as part of its annual programme of residential trips.

The trip was a special opportunity for 25 year 11 students to visit various areas of historic importance, including the Salt Mines, Auschwitz and the Schindler Museum.

The students also laid a wreath, donated by the Skipton branch of the Royal British Legion.

Group leader Caroline Sowerbutts said: “I am always proud to run this trip, to ensure the memory of the history of these events are understood and appreciated by our students. They pay respects on behalf of Aireville School, Skipton and the British Legion.”
