Residents in a Cross Hills care home were transported to India for a taste of traditional cuisine.
Anchor’s Townend Close in Victoria Road opened its doors and invited the local community to join in a two-course authentic Indian meal.
The dining room was decorated with pictures of well-known Indian landmarks and Indian flags.
All proceeds will be donated to the British Heart Foundation as part of Rock in the Red Heart awareness month.
Business manager Sharon Mackie said: “Residents at Townend Close like to give back to the community. Like all our events there was lots of fun, colour and some wonderful food, made from fresh seasonal ingredients.”
