Craven Volunteer Centre and local cancer support charity BE Bosom Friends have joined forces to organise a quiz night.

Its aim is to raise money for both charities as well as raise their profile.

Dee Pollitt, manager of the Volunteer Centre, said: “Following the success of previous quiz nights, we will hold another one to give the winning team the chance to defend their title.”

The centre – which is celebrating its 10th anniversary – will use the money to support its work, and Bosom Friends member Debi Hawkins said they would put their share towards developing the Skipton-based support group.

“People know Bosom Friends is based in Barnoldswick, but the charity supports people in the Craven and Ribble Valley areas and we want to raise awareness of this. The charity aims to give real practical help at what can be a devastating time.”

The quiz night will take place at Skipton Rugby Club on Tuesday, March 11, from 7pm. Teams of up to six people can take part and a pie and peas supper is included in the £7 per person fee.
