Sandra Gregory, who was sentenced to 25 years in Bangkok’s notorious Lard Yao prison for attempting to smuggle heroin out of Thailand, will give the next Gigg lecture.
She served four-and-a-half years of her sentence in Thai and British prisons before being pardoned by the King of Thailand in 2000.
Her story carries a crucial word of warning and caution and emphasises that freedom is a gift to be cherished and appreciated.
She will deliver her lecture, Banged Up Abroad, at Giggleswick School’s Richard Whiteley Theatre next Friday, March 7, at 7pm.
Tickets cost £8 (£6 for under 18s) and are available from Giggleswick.org.uk/rwt or call 01729 893180.
